Job summary

ConnectOS in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines, is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to maintain and enhance our enterprise IT infrastructure. This role requires hands-on experience with virtualization, storage, and cloud-based services, and offers a hybrid work arrangement with an on-site location at Mega Tower.

You will administer Azure, M365, Hyper-V, and vSphere, collaborate with IT teams, and ensure high availability while keeping documentation and disaster recovery plans current.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in the ICT industry.
• Experience with maintaining Azure, Hyper-V and vSphere.
• Microsoft Azure and M365 Certifications or working towards.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of technical resources in the support of enterprise systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work within an environment of competing priorities with strict deadlines and the capacity to share knowledge within the team.
• Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and ensuring high availability of enterprise-wide virtualization systems e.g. vSphere, Hyper‑V.
• Administering, configuring, and supporting of enterprise shared business systems including storage, backups, monitoring, identity management, messaging, etc.
• Deployment, managing and maintaining M365 applications and the Azure environment ensuring adherence to license management.
• Effectively design, deploy and maintain infrastructure for our Data Centres.
• Build and keep current, relevant IT infrastructure system documentation, policies and procedures including Disaster Recovery Plan.
• Reporting on IT infrastructure operations to allow fine‑tuning and optimising of the IT Infrastructure.
• Provide internal expertise to the business queries and helpdesk tickets of Systems Engineering related issues, systems, processes and data. Analyse the tickets/incidents raised to identify key themes to educate the
• Service Desk (training or providing documentation) in the respective assigned functional area(s) to increase the number of issues resolved at Service Desk.
• Ensure all proposed changes/fixes proposed and implemented by the external support service provider and/or other internal teams are aligned to our IT principles and are sustainable/supportable
• Collaborate with the other IT teams to ensure end‑to‑end support coverage across all changes, break/fixes and continuous improvement initiative

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Location: Mega Tower, Mandaluyong

Schedule: Monday to Friday (7:00AM - 4:00PM PHT) with on-call requirement

Reporting to the IT Systems Engineering Lead, the IT Systems Engineer is responsible for providing deep technical expertise to implement, operate, support and maintain our operational IT infrastructure. This role is accountable for the delivery of support and issue resolution, as well as liaising with other IT Teams and third-party providers to resolve issues.
