Job summary

ConnectOS is seeking a Security Operations professional to join our SOC & IT operations team in Metro Manila on a hybrid schedule. You will work Monday to Friday, with onsite focus, and engage with stakeholders to strengthen our cyber security posture.

The role involves security operations, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and fraud operations, using EDR, SIEM, AWS, Azure, and DLP tools. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Operations or Security Operations Centre (SOC) is mandatory.
• Experience with EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Management, AWS, Azure and DLP is mandatory.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure and security tooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Security Operations: engage with stakeholders to position cyber security as a technology enabler.
• Receive and respond to routine security requests.
• Maintain records and inform relevant personnel of actions taken.
• Assist investigations of suspected attacks and security breaches.
• Develop tools, rules, and data inputs to respond to current security threats.
• Vulnerability Management: assist with low-complexity vulnerability assessments.
• Threat Intelligence: perform routine threat intelligence gathering.
• Fraud Operations: assist investigations and uplift fraud capability.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (6am to 3pm PHT

Hybrid 23x per week onsite

Who you are?

• Previous experience working in IT Operations or Security Operations Centre (SOC). (Mandatory)
• Experience working with common security tools such as EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Management, AWS, Azure and DLP. (Mandatory)

Preferred

• Experience of platforms such as AWS, Azure and the MS Security Stack.
• Knowledge and understanding of the steps of Fraud / Cyber Incidents
• Dealing with Stakeholders and great communication

What will you do?

The key areas of accountability in the role are:

• Security Operations
  • Manage and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to build productive partnerships, helping to position cyber security as
    a technology enabler.
  • Receive and respond to routine requests for security support.
  • Maintain records and advise relevant persons of actions taken.
  • Assist the team to help resolve security events and operational security issues.
  • Assist the team in investigations of suspected attacks and security breaches.
  • Proactively build the necessary tools and integration, as well as the rules, alerts and identifying the data inputs, to respond to
    the latest security threats.
• Vulnerability Management
  • Assist the team in low-complexity routine vulnerability assessments using automated and semi-automated tools.
  • Assist the team to help with documenting the scope and evaluating the results of vulnerability assessments.
• Threat Intelligence
  • Perform routine threat intelligence gathering tasks.
  • Assist with collecting information into a data format that can be used for operational security activities and used to uplift the
    security posture.
• Fraud Operations
  • Assist the team and investigate fraudulent behaviour in accordance with established procedures within the team.
  • Assist the team in uplifting the fraud capability within the company.
