Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) is highly desirable
• Proven experience working in an IT support or help desk environment, ideally 1-3 years
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems
• Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting, system maintenance, and peripheral device installation
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Ability to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT asset management tools
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and TCP/IP protocols
• Customer service orientation with patience and professionalism when dealing with technical issues
• Willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated with IT industry developments

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and peripheral devices including desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and network equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems, providing timely resolutions to minimise downtime
• Provide first-line and second-line technical support to end-users via telephone, email, and in-person assistance
• Perform system updates, patches, and software installations across company devices and systems
• Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations
• Manage and organise IT inventory, including hardware components, peripherals, and software licenses
• Assist with network connectivity issues and basic network troubleshooting
• Support the deployment and rollout of new technology initiatives and infrastructure upgrades
• Perform regular maintenance tasks including disk cleanups, defragmentation, and system optimisation
• Collaborate with senior IT staff on more complex technical issues and projects
