Job summary

Home Credit Philippines is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive breakthrough initiatives and own the data platform roadmap. You will lead a data engineering team, collaborate with architects and stakeholders, and ensure robust, scalable solutions aligned with governance and privacy standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on expertise in Databricks and Azure, a strong background in data warehousing, and the ability to mentor and train team members across international offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in Data engineering.
• 10+ years’ experience in Data technologies (Cloudera-cloud/on prem) or equivalent.
• Advance capability with Databricks and Azure.
• Familiarity in Data Science tasks.
• Experience in DWH is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in Oracle GoldenGate is a plus.
• Ability to provide detailed solutions and technical training to team members.
• Knowledge of SQL, messaging (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Knowledge of CI/CD and proactive monitoring for the team.
• Knowledge on API integration (SOAP and REST).
• Ability to write in both technical and user-friendly language.

Responsibilities

• Act as Lead Data engineer for breakthrough initiative and ensure technical requirements are fulfilled with quality.
• Provide Technical guidance to the Data engineering team.
• Collaborate with Business Analyst and architect for initiative solution design.
• Cooperate with other teams to ensure end-to-end integrated solution is robust and conforms to architecture standards.
• Work with infra team for maintenance, DRC, and platform patches and upgrades.
• Provide upskilling plans to elevate the capability of data engineering team in Azure and Databricks.
• Work with stakeholders, Head of IT Deliveries, and architects to establish future roadmap of Unified data platform to meet business needs, adhere to data governance policy and data privacy act.
• Act as senior consultant/ SME of Data engineering team.
