Job summary

Home Credit Philippines is seeking an IT Senior Network Specialist to maintain and enhance our network infrastructure. You will design, implement, and administer core network systems, switches, routers, and related equipment across local and remote sites.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in network roles, CCNA/CCNP certifications, and strong experience with DNS, SNMP, TCP/IP, and VPN technologies. The role offers a hybrid work setup and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Network Administrator/Specialist role.
• Strong knowledge of DNS and SNMP management.
• Proficient in TCP/IP and common networking protocols (MPLS, IPv6, OSPF, BGP).
• Experience with VPN, IPSec, and GRE tunneling.
• Experience with network risk analysis and backup administration.
• Proven ability to create test plans and reports for network equipment.
• Hands-on with network analysis tools and monitoring platforms (Wireshark, Nagios, etc.).
• Knowledge of Checkpoint firewall and F5 load balancer administration.

• Provide Tier II support and troubleshooting to stakeholders.
• Maintain expertise in network hardware/software technologies.
• Communicate technical topics to management and other audiences.

About the job:

The IT Senior Network Specialist is responsible for keeping an organization's computer network up-to-date and operating as intended. Any company or organization that uses multiple computers or software platforms needs a network specialist to coordinate and connect the different systems. Served as 2nd level to support enterprise and Business operations. That includes maintaining and managing Network infrastructure uptime and availability. Also, to ensure that all Network related services are effectively deliver.

What you will do:

Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.

Designing and implementing network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks

Installs, configures, and maintains network core systems, switches, routers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems.

Conducts routine inspection and audit of network systems, software, internet, links, and tools to ensure regular performance tuning and maintenance of systems and usage monitoring.

Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure

Cooperates with the group IT teams and provides them with the necessary assistance

Define needs, benefits analysis and recommend technical strategy

Performs daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of all network equipment.

Close cooperation with IT Architect, IT Security, Helpdesk and Technical Support Team.

Cooperation with 3rd party vendors and service provider for repair of hardware and network equipment.

Provide Tier II/other support with IT groups as per request from various constituencies and provide them with the necessary assistance. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.

Maintain and extend expertise in applicable areas of network and computer hardware and software technology.

Handles communication technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer daily.

Ability to prioritize and work productively and efficiently with minimal supervision

What you need to have:

Minimum 5 years' experience in a Network Administrator / Specialist role

Solid Knowledge of networking protocols such Domain Name Server (DNS), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)

Experience working with network systems and networking principles, data, voice, or video.

Solid Knowledge in TCP\IP Fundamentals and commonly used network protocols (MPLS, IPv6, OSPF, BGP), IPSec, VPN, and GRE Tunneling.

Experience with network risk analysis, modeling, and back-up administration functions.

Experience creating test plans, procedures, and reports for testing of network equipment office and remote sites.

Demonstrate experience and /or Background with Network analysis tools or Monitoring Platforms (Wireshark, Nagios, Cacti, Solar winds, LibreNms, Etc.).

Knowledge and Experience in Checkpoint firewall administration.

Knowledge and Experience in F5 load balancer administration.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
