Job summary

You will establish entry/exit criteria for tests, select automation tools, and drive continuous improvement by embedding testing early in the SDLC. The role emphasizes collaboration with developers, product owners, and project managers to ensure quality and user satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA testing and automation is desirable.
• Familiarity with QA standards and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Define overall test strategy, scope, and approach for each project or release.
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test data aligned with requirements.
• Establish entry/exit criteria for unit, system, integration, and UAT tests.
• Identify testing tools and frameworks to support automation and efficiency.
• Lead end-to-end testing activities, both manual and automated.
• Log, prioritize, and track defects to resolution within timelines.
• Review results, assess risks, and provide go/no-go for release readiness.
• Validate delivered functionality meets business objectives and user expectations.
• Define and implement test automation strategies to improve coverage.
• Evaluate new tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Azure DevOps) for testing.
• Track metrics like defect density, test coverage, and execution progress.
• Embed testing early in design and development (shift-left).
• Ensure QA adherence to standards, templates, and enterprise frameworks.
• Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Participate in project reviews and release readiness assessments.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and PMs for early testing involvement.
• Coordinate with business users during UAT and smooth test-to-prod transitions.
• Promote best practices in testing and defect prevention.
• Act as 1st level escalation for conflicts and resistance with structured dialogue.
