Job summary

Finastra Philippines Inc. is seeking an Associate QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team in Manila.

You will create and execute test plans, write automated test scripts, and collaborate with developers to improve product quality for our financial software solutions. The role requires up to 1 year of hands-on testing experience, familiarity with relational databases, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of progressive technical experience in development, design, performance engineering.
• 0-1 years’ experience in software testing or related field.
• Experience with relational databases preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create test cases from product specifications.
• Execute test plans and test cases and compiles results.
• Set up and maintains personal testing environments.
• Assist in the review of software development processes to improve product quality.
• Track defects from detection to resolution and works with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.
• Communicate with stakeholders on product issues.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of existing products, operations or systems.
• Review product documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Provide support to stakeholders prior to GA release of software.
• Create and/or run SQL scripts to populate data and validate test results.
• Design, develop, and maintain test scripts to be automated.
• Provide testing effort estimates for enhancements.
• Leverage AI to enhance productivity, streamline routine tasks, validate outputs against trusted sources, and translate AI-generated insights into informed business decisions.
