Job summary

Manulife Financial invites an experienced IT Project Manager to join the Technology team at MBPS, Philippines. You will lead and support critical projects, drive planning, manage risks, and ensure timely stakeholder communication to strengthen operational efficiency and service delivery.

Responsibilities include reporting to management, escalating issues, coordinating with US Segment Project Leads, and maintaining schedules.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in a Project Management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Business, Project Management, or related discipline).
  • PM Certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2.
  • Proficient with JIRA, Confluence, Planview, M365 Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate), and Office 365 Tools.

  • Possess excellent skills in escalation handling, planning, organizing, and communication.
  • Maintain high organization and track multiple priorities with varying deadlines; adapt and provide support as needed.

  • Manage tasks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with US Segment Project Leads/Owners to develop project plans.
  • Coordinate deliverables and status updates.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Job description

We’re looking for an IT Project Manager to join our Technology team at MBPS. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and support critical projects that directly contribute to strengthening our operational efficiency and service delivery. As a partner to US Segment Project Leads, you will help drive project planning, manage risks, and ensure timely communication that keeps stakeholders informed and aligned.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned projects and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders and management.
  • Possess excellent skills in escalation handling, planning, organizing, and communication.
  • Maintain high organization and track multiple priorities with varying deadlines; adapt and provide support as needed.
  • Identify and mitigate key risks, reporting to stakeholders.
  • Manage tasks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with US Segment Project Leads/Owners to develop project plans.
  • Coordinate deliverables and status updates.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
  • Amenable to work UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)
  • Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)
  • Amenable to work in night shift schedule
Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong project management skills with experience building clear and goal-oriented plans, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and reporting.
  • Excellent escalation handling, planning, organization, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively apply project management methodologies and ensure that the necessary technical
    skills are included with the project team and utilized appropriately
  • Ability to think strategically, assess alternatives for short-and long-term impacts and act decisively
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.
  • Confident communicator with clear verbal and written communication skills.
