Job summary

Manulife Financial is seeking a Project Manager to lead defined client projects, coordinating scope, schedule, and resources to ensure alignment with business objectives. You will manage risks, communicate with stakeholders, support staffing, and oversee milestones while maintaining budget discipline within a hybrid Manila-based team.

Ideal candidates will have experience applying project management methodologies, SDLC, and familiarity with annuity products and financial services platforms.

Qualifications

• Ability to think strategically, assess alternatives for short-and long-term impacts and act decisively.
• Experience working with project planning and tracking tools.
• Ability to effectively apply project management methodologies and ensure that the necessary technical skills are included with the project team and utilized appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements and implementation of projects.
• Ensure that assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client business objectives.
• Identify, analyze, mitigate, document, and control project risks.
• Provide effective and regular communication within the project team, stakeholders, sponsors and management.
• Identify resourcing needs for the project and establish roles, expectations, and goals with team members.
• Participate in negotiation of contract terms and conditions and ensure compliance with contract terms for project consultants and vendors.
• Identify project issues that impact project delivery and escalate to management.
• Set and track project milestones; manage delays and realign schedules and expectations as needed.
• Manage multiple small/medium-sized projects ensuring deliverables on time, within budget and quality targets.
• Assist in hiring project staff and developing, motivating, coaching, advising and managing the project team.
• Manage the technical components of the project or act as the manager of personnel, including evaluating personnel.
• Liaise between project team, sponsor, and client group.
• Establish and maintain relationships with client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on status and changes.
