Job summary

Workforce Philippines Resources Incorporated is seeking an IT Programmer – Accounting Software to develop, maintain, and optimize business systems, especially those handling accounting, payroll, and HR data.

You will configure and customize accounting software, build reports and dashboards, and ensure smooth integrations with ERP, HRIS, and payroll tools. Collaboration with Accounting/Finance is essential to understand existing processes and security considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, IS, CE, or related field.
• 2–3 years of IT Programmer / Software Developer experience.
• Experience with Accounting Software, ERP, Payroll System, HRIS, or Business Management Systems.
• Strong SQL and database management knowledge.
• Experience in developing reports, dashboards, database queries, and system integrations.

Responsibilities

About the role

The IT / Programmer – Accounting Software role involves developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving business systems, particularly those involving accounting, payroll, billing, employee data, attendance, and manpower operations. This position is especially important because WPRI handles large volumes of employee and payroll-related data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting and business software used by the company
• Configure and customize accounting software based on WPRI's operational requirements
• Develop modules, reports, forms, and system features for Accounting, Payroll, HR, Recruitment, and Operations
• Integrate accounting software with other business systems such as payroll, attendance, HRIS, and reporting tools
• Provide technical support for payroll, timekeeping, employee records, billing, and other HR-related systems
• Troubleshoot issues involving employee master data, attendance, payroll calculations, deductions, and reports
• Develop customized financial and management reports
• Design, maintain, and optimize databases used by company systems

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• At least 2–3 years of experience as an IT Programmer, Software Developer, Systems Analyst, or similar role
• Proven experience working with Accounting Software, ERP, Payroll System, HRIS, or Business Management Systems
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database management
• Experience in developing reports, dashboards, database queries, and system integrations
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of API/system integration is highly preferred
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, data validation, and data analysis
• Good understanding of data security, backup, access control, and confidentiality
• Willing to work closely with Accounting and Finance teams and learn the company's existing accounting processes
