Job summary

J&T Express Philippines is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to plan, deploy, operate, and maintain IT infrastructure across offices and distribution centers. The role covers network, servers, storage, data center cabling, CCTV, and end-user support, requiring hands-on technical skills and strong teamwork.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 5+ years' experience in network/desktop maintenance, with CCNA or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select network equipment and plan the network architecture of the distribution center and office.

• Assist in formulating IT operation and maintenance specifications to ensure security and stability of information systems.
• Guide regional IT to rack and unrack network devices and servers, and organize cabinet wiring.
• Configure CCTV system and guide supplier on construction standards.
• Troubleshoot desktop issues and provide cybersecurity awareness training to colleagues.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Monitor network performance and adjust bandwidth usage as needed.

Role Description

The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the planning, deployment, operation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure across offices and distribution centers. This role covers network architecture, servers, storage, data center cabling, CCTV systems, and end-user support, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of all IT systems. The role requires strong hands-on technical skills, cross-team coordination, and the ability to respond to critical incidents when needed.

Qualifications

• 1. A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer/software engineering, or a related field.
• 2. Over 5 years of experience in network and desktop maintenance.
• 3. Those who hold certifications such as CCNA, HCIA, H3CNE or above are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 1. Network: Familiar with the configuration and management of network devices such as switches and routers, understand basic cyber security knowledge, possess troubleshooting capabilities, and be aware of the ISO 7-layer and TCP/IP 4-layer architectures.
• 2. System: Proficient in managing Windows Server and Linux (such as CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) operating systems, and mastering and configuring RAID arrays.
• 3. Desktop: Proficient in troubleshooting common issues with PCs, printers, and software, skilled in installing Windows, understands the working principle of CCTV, and can guide suppliers to complete the deployment and construction of CCTV systems.
• 4. Data Center: Understand the process and standards of comprehensive cabling in data centers, be familiar with commonly used equipment in data centers, be familiar with the weak current construction process, distinguish commonly used transmission media, and be able to independently make Category 5 and Category 6 RJ45 connectors.
• 5. Strong sense of responsibility, with good communication skills and teamwork spirit.
• 6. Able to handle unexpected breakdowns during non-working hours, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and working under pressure.

Responsibilities and Duties

• 1. Select network equipment, plan the network architecture of the distribution center and office.
• 2. Guide suppliers to complete the weak current engineering and data center construction of the distribution center.
• 3. Assist in formulating and implementing IT operation and maintenance specifications to ensure the security and stability of the company's information systems.
• 4. Guide regional IT to rack and unrack network devices and servers, and organize and standardize cabinet wiring.
• 5. Configure the CCTV system and guide the supplier on construction standards
• 6. Resolve desktop malfunctions, address all issues colleagues encounter with their IT systems and software, and provide colleagues with training on cyber security and computer usage.
• 7. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system issues.
• 8. Maintain, configure, and monitor network bandwidth usage and network performance to determine if adjustments are needed
