Job summary

NTT DATA in the Philippines is seeking an experienced IT Lead – Retail Technology & Store Implementation to own the technology workstreams behind the launch of a new retail brand.

You will lead end-to-end IT readiness, manage RMS/POS/RMS, and coordinate vendors and partners to ensure a successful go-live, with hands-on leadership and cross-functional collaboration across business and tech teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in lead/managerial roles.
• Strong experience in retail technology implementations and store openings.

Job description

At NTT DATA, we are looking for an experienced IT Lead – Retail Technology & Store Implementation to take ownership of the technology workstreams behind the launch of an exciting new retail brand in the Philippines.

This is a unique opportunity to help build a retail technology environment from the ground up. You will lead critical infrastructure decisions, oversee POS and enterprise application implementations, coordinate technology partners, and ensure the store is technically ready for a successful go-live.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the end-to-end technology implementation and IT readiness for the launch of a new retail store.

• Drive key infrastructure decisions covering cloud versus on-premises environments, servers, operating systems, connectivity, data residency, cybersecurity, backup, and access controls.

• Lead the implementation and integration of key retail and enterprise applications, including Retail Management Systems (RMS), Point-of-Sale (POS), Retail Pro/Prism, and Financial Management Systems (FMS).

• Provide technical input into the evaluation and implementation of the FMS and other enterprise technology solutions.

• Oversee store IT deployment, including network connectivity, servers, POS terminals, workstations, printers, peripherals, structured cabling, and other technology required for store operations.

• Coordinate with telecommunications providers, hardware and server suppliers, software vendors, systems integrators, construction teams, and other technology partners.

• Ensure IT requirements are properly incorporated into store construction and fit-out activities.

• Provide technical support for BIR accreditation and compliance requirements relating to the POS and retail technology environment.

• Serve as the key technology bridge between business stakeholders and technical partners, translating operational requirements into practical technology solutions.

• Manage vendors and implementation partners, monitor project milestones, identify bottlenecks and risks, and ensure requirements are delivered correctly and completely.

• Oversee system integration, testing, UAT, technical cutover, deployment, and go-live activities.

• Establish contingency, backup, recovery, support, and escalation processes necessary for launch and post-go-live operations.

• Monitor overall IT readiness and provide stakeholders with clear visibility of progress, dependencies, risks, issues, and required actions.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 7+ years of progressive IT experience, preferably including at least 3 years in an IT Lead, IT Manager, Technical Project Lead, or similar role.

• Strong experience in retail technology implementations, with exposure to new-store openings, greenfield environments, or major IT transformation and rollout projects highly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience with POS, RMS, ERP/FMS, inventory, finance, and other enterprise systems; exposure to Retail Pro/Prism is a strong advantage.

• Solid knowledge of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, networking, servers, operating systems, telecommunications, cybersecurity, identity and access management, backup, and disaster recovery.

• Experience managing system integrations, data migration, UAT, cutover, production deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.

• Proven ability to manage technology vendors, telecommunications providers, systems integrators, hardware suppliers, and other implementation partners.

• Familiarity with Philippine BIR requirements involving POS/CAS systems and accreditation is highly preferred.

• Strong project management, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

• A hands-on and results-driven approach with the ability to make sound technical decisions, challenge proposed solutions, resolve bottlenecks, and drive multiple workstreams toward a fixed go-live date.

• Willingness to provide on-site support during critical implementation, testing, cutover, and store-opening activities.
