You will partner with Product, Technology, and Business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable digital retail solutions and platforms that fuel growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as Engineering Manager or Tech Lead.
• Strong backend experience with Java, Golang, Node.js or Scala.
• Experience in architecture, system design, and scalable apps.
• Proficient with APIs, microservices, and DevOps practices.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technology Engineering Manager to lead software engineering initiatives for a growing Retail & E-Commerce business.

This is a hands-on technology leadership role for someone who can lead engineering teams while remaining closely involved in architecture, system design, software quality, and digital transformation.

The successful candidate will work closely with technology and business stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and high-performing digital and retail technology solutions that support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor software engineering teams and provide technical direction.
• Drive the development and continuous improvement of e-commerce, retail, and digital platforms.
• Translate business and product requirements into technical priorities and solutions.
• Participate in system architecture, technical design, and complex solution development.
• Design and support scalable applications and service-oriented architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, Technical Lead, Engineering Lead, or Software Development Manager.
• Strong experience leading and mentoring software engineering or development teams.
• Strong backend development experience in Java, Golang, Node.js, Scala, or similar technologies.
• Solid experience in software architecture, system design, and scalable applications.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, or modern frontend technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, or related DevOps practices.
• Strong experience working with APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
