About the role

We are looking for a IT Infrastructure Engineer to deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain mission-critical network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network monitoring and fault detection, Layer 2/Layer 3 diagnostics, and security tools, along with working knowledge of Linux system administration and application-level support to help maintain the servers and applications that support our network operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor mission-critical network infrastructure across multiple service regions through proactive alarm monitoring and fault detection.
• Investigate customer-impacting connectivity incidents and network alarms, performing fault isolation, root cause analysis, and service impact assessment.
• Coordinate field dispatch with technicians and support the resolution of network outages within defined operational SLAs.
• Perform Layer 2 and Layer 3 CLI diagnostics to validate network/optical signal integrity and confirm service restoration.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based servers supporting network and monitoring infrastructure.
• Provide application-level support and troubleshooting for internal monitoring tools, dashboards, and NOC automation scripts.
• Validate production network migrations, maintenance windows, and infrastructure upgrades to minimize operational risk.
• Build and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python, Ansible, Bash) to streamline routine diagnostics and reduce incident response time.
• Author and maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and incident response guides.
• Escalate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network and application issues.

About you

• Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP), VLANs, NAT, and Layer 3 routing.
• Experience with IPsec/SSL VPNs and firewall/security tools (e.g., OPNsense, FortiGate, Sangfor NGAF).
• Familiarity with SIEM and IDS tools (e.g., Wazuh, Suricata) and security monitoring practices.
• Working knowledge of alarm and performance monitoring platforms and SLA-based incident escalation.
• Hands-on experience with Linux server administration (e.g., Ubuntu Server) — installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Comfortable working with the Linux CLI for diagnostics, log review, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and support internal applications, dashboards, and automation tools.
• Experience identifying and resolving application-level issues affecting monitoring or reporting systems.
• Comfortable working with scripting/automation tools (Python, Bash, Ansible, Google Apps Script) to build or maintain internal tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset under time-sensitive conditions.
