Job summary

Zylun Philippines, Inc. in Makati is seeking a junior support engineer to assist B2B clients using VoIP termination/origination. On-the-job training is provided and all support is conducted via phone and email.

You will work with network ops and monitoring teams, troubleshoot equipment with client IT, and assist with pre-sales provisioning. The role requires onsite attendance and offers opportunities to learn Linux PBX systems and SIP signaling.

Qualifications

• Willing to report FULL ONSITE in our Makati office.
• Experience with Linux-based PBX systems such as Asterisk or Freeswitch, or willingness to learn on the job.
• Knowledge of QoS, Linux based packet trace tools, SIP signaling debug, or willingness to learn during on-the-job training.
• Has a firewall experience, or previous networking employment a plus.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

• Serve as front-line CSR for necessary occasions and assist with new installs with Sales Engineer oversight.
• All support will be via phone and email only.
• Provide technical writing to assist with blog posts and social media.
• Must be able to work flexible hours on occasion.

We are looking for a junior support engineer to assist B2B clients who buy VoIP termination/origination (DID and outbound SIP) for call centers, business PBXs and resellers. On-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-sales engineering and provisioning tasks
• Work closely with network operations and network monitoring teams. Work directly with client IT teams via email and phone to troubleshoot equipment
• Work with Tier1 suppliers to open and resolve tickets and perform testing
• Pro-actively suggest and implement system and process improvements
• Assist clients with remote troubleshooting of their SIP-based PBXs' Go down to any level, including front line, to troubleshoot specific VoIP issues
• No roles, no escalations.
• Will serve as a double as front-line CSR for necessary occasions only. At other times you will assist the new install, together with the Sales Engineer overseeing the project.
• All support will be done via phone and email only.
• Provide technical writing to assist with blog posts and social media
• Must be able to work flexible hours on occasion.
