Job summary

Private Advertiser in Metro Manila is seeking a senior performance test engineer to design and own the testing strategy for a cloud-enabled IoT/SCADA platform. You will configure perf environments mirroring on-prem and Azure, implement load, stress, and soak tests, and report results to engineering and client stakeholders to ensure scale, latency, and reliability requirements.

You will design test models for ingestion, polling, dashboards, and alerting, and integrate tests into Azure DevOps

Qualifications

5+ years in performance testing.
Hands-on with JMeter, k6, Locust, or Gatling.
Experience testing cloud-native and hybrid systems, ideally Azure.
Understanding of IoT and SCADA systems: device telemetry, MQTT/OPC UA, time-series data.
Strong data analysis: logs, metrics, traces; reporting to stakeholders.
Excellent reporting: present findings to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design performance strategy with scope, SLAs, KPIs for IoT ingestion, polling, dashboards and reporting.
Configure perf test environments mirroring on-prem and Azure production.
Implement tests with scripts and scenarios; simulate 10k+ device connections and MQTT/OPC UA traffic.
Integrate perf tests into CI/CD pipelines and run automated regressions on release.
Monitor and analyze with Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana to track latency and bottlenecks.
Report findings and drive platform tuning with engineering for optimal performance.
