Job summary

Manulife in Manila is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support the accuracy and integrity of accounting and reconciliation processes for our US Retirement and Investment Operations business. You will perform timely reconciliations, investigate variances, monitor fund activities, and assist with cash management, tax revisions, and event-driven fund changes.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in financial services or accounting, with experience in reconciliations.
• Hands-on experience reconciling accounts and investigating variances.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and controls.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely reconciliations and investigate variances across fund accounts.
• Monitor fund activities and process accounting-related transactions.
• Support mutual fund events such as launches, liquidations, mergers, seed capital repatriations.
• Review operational reports, analyze large data sets, and summarize findings.
• Collaborate with operations teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
