Job summary

Manulife Financial, MBPS Retirement Operations, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support accurate accounting and reconciliation processes for US Retirement and Investment Operations. You will reconcile accounts, monitor fund activity, and assist with fund events and operational improvements.

The role requires 1–2 years of relevant experience, advanced Excel skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Hybrid work arrangement and collaboration across teams are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in financial services, accounting, or fund operations.
• Hands-on experience with account reconciliations and variance investigations.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capability.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely account reconciliations and investigate variances across fund accounts.
• Monitor fund activities and process accounting transactions including cash management reconciliation setup.
• Support mutual fund events such as launches, liquidations, mergers, and plan conversions.
• Review operational reports, analyze large data sets, and summarize findings for management.
• Collaborate with operations teams to implement process improvements and prevent discrepancies.
