Willis Towers Watson in Manila is seeking a Manager for the Delegated Investment Solutions Operations team to oversee investment operations for pension fund clients. You will work with a seasoned team including custodians and investment managers to ensure accurate, timely processing and strong controls.

A focus on cash reconciliations, reporting, and process improvements is essential. The role requires five years of relevant experience, excellent communication, and expertise in Excel/PowerPoint

• At least five years of relevant work experience, ideally in a client-service oriented environment (investment management/custodian back-office operations)
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in daily cash reconciliations, with the ability to investigate and resolve breaks accurately and in a timely manner

Description

The Role

We are currently looking for a Manager for our Delegated Investment Solutions Operations team in the Manila Office.

The team is part of the wider Global Investment Operations group, of 160 colleagues, whose core focus is on supporting and servicing the needs of our Investments business and clients. Working with a large, experienced team will allow you to learn about many aspects of the Investment industry whilst building your knowledge of the third‑party service providers that we work with.

The focus of the role is to perform investment operations functions for predominantly pension fund clients while working closely with operations colleagues, custodians, and investment managers to ensure the investment operation functions are completed accurately and on a timely basis. This role requires a team‑player who is numbers and detail oriented with good knowledge of investment management or custodian back‑office operations. The Investment Operations world is wide ranging and includes some exciting challenges.

The role will entail the following:

Working knowledge of investment management/custodian back‑office operations including:

• Cash management




• Dealing with custodians/investment managers/administrators




• Invoice reconciliation and payment instruction




• Monitoring and compliance support




• Procedures and controls (risk management)




• Trade matching




• Work as part of dedicated operations team providing a variety of services to designated clients




• Increase efficiency within client teams by identifying ways to improve processes

Project Management

• Ensure timely delivery of reports and other deliverables that meet stakeholder expectations at a minimum




• Perform review of reports, ensuring that output and processes adhere to WTW’s excellence standards and procedures




• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, manage expectations proactively and anticipate and address issues in a timely and effective manner




• Ensure processes are documented correctly and completely at all times
