Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Data Management Analyst to contribute to the Investment Division's data management program. The role focuses on proactive data quality monitoring, discrepancy escalation, and aligning processes with industry best practices to support reporting and governance.

You will work across teams, strengthen governance frameworks, and advance data strategy through data extraction, cleansing, and analysis for insightful dashboards and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in investment management or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of securities instruments, settlements, and investment operations processes.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform securities setup—including private securities—within the Security Master database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
• Identify, investigate, and elevate data discrepancies across order management systems and enterprise data platforms, ensuring timely resolution.
• Conduct periodic security master reviews and validate data to support downstream functions such as valuation, performance, reporting, trading, and compliance.
• Maintain and enhance data governance processes, including documentation, risk assessment support, and tracking of remediation actions.
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and analysis to support reporting, dashboards, and business insights.
