Job summary

QBE Group Shared Services Centre in Manila seeks an Internal Controls Assurance professional to conduct control audits across the Global QBE Finance environment and help standardize processes and control documentation.

The role requires judgment to assess control effectiveness, review supporting documentation, and challenge accounting teams to remediate deficiencies, with a dotted line to the Head of Group Finance Operation Risk & Assurance.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal controls and financial risk assessment.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and financial reporting.
• Understanding of auditing standards and governance frameworks.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with assurance technology (e.g., WDesk).

Responsibilities

• Undertake control audits across the Global QBE Finance environment.
• Assess operating effectiveness of controls and adequacy of supporting documentation.
• Challenge divisional accounting teams to remediate control deficiencies.
• Standardize process and control documentation across Finance.
• Collaborate with the Head of Group Finance Operation Risk & Assurance on key initiatives.
