Job summary

QBE Group Shared Services Centre is seeking a Tax Specialist based in Manila or Cebu to ensure tax compliance and reporting for all applicable taxes across the Group. You will assist with tax audits and provide ad-hoc tax advisory to the broader QBE business.

The role focuses on monitoring tax reports, preparing journal entries, and leading reconciliation efforts while contributing to process improvements within the Global Tax function.

Qualifications

• Some experience in indirect taxes.
• Tax accounting experience.
• Experience in the insurance or financial sector.
• Proven track record of taking active accountability for own workload.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review tax reports and returns before onshore approval and sign-off.
• Prepare or review journal entries for tax-related accounts.
• Perform reconciliation processes including matching and ageing of unreconciled items.
• Lead parts of the team in resolving items and following up on investigations.
• Provide status updates to Associate Manager and contribute to process improvements.
• Assist with tax audits and ad-hoc tax advisory to the business.
