Job summary

QBE Group Shared Services Centre is seeking a finance reporting professional to support timely statutory, regulatory and group reporting. You will drive standardisation, automation, and integration of financial reporting and analytics to sustain operational excellence.

The role requires experience across project lifecycles, data manipulation, and strong relationships with internal customers. Occasional travel and a tertiary degree with accounting credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Some relevant work experience.
• Considerable experience in project lifecycle management.
• Experience in data manipulation and visualization using reporting/BI tools and MS Excel.
• Significant experience in managing relationships with internal customers.
• Moderate experience in an accounting role.

Responsibilities

• Focuses on medium-term objectives and provides input to business or function strategy.
• Understand & suggest improvements for policies, procedures, and processes across departments.
• Maintain compliance requirements and individual accreditation levels.
• Establish and maintain efficient relationships between Finance and Business Unit Finance staff.
• Prepare statutory accounts, branch accounts, group reporting packs, and regulatory returns accurately and timely.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of financial reporting and analytics.
• Assist Line 1 and the Financial Control Lead in ensuring the delivery of quality of reports through reviews and audits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

This position plays a role in driving the standardisation, industrialisation, and integration of financial reporting and analytics to support ongoing operational excellence.
