Job Description:

Role Summary:

The Global Intercompany Analyst is responsible for executing end-to-end Intercompany accounting activities for assigned processes and legal entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and operational excellence. The role supports standardized global Intercompany processes, contributes to balance sheet integrity, and helps enable smooth financial close and reporting cycles across regions.

Operating within a process-centric model, the Global Intercompany Analyst focuses on key Intercompany processes, including Intercompany Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), Recharge Accounting, Intercompany Stock, GR/IR, and Netting, rather than supporting specific sectors or geographies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Compliance & Control

• Execute Intercompany accounting activities in compliance with J&J Credo, Worldwide Procedures, SOX, and statutory requirements
• Ensure accurate posting, reconciliation, and substantiation of Intercompany balances
• Identify, escalation, and support resolution of control gaps and reconciliation issues

2. Intrcompany Operations

• Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end Intercompany accounting activities, including posting, matching, clearing, and aging analysis.
• Support timely financial close activities in accordance with the global close calendar and reporting requirements.
• Execute balance sheet reconciliations and proactively follow up on outstanding, aged, or unreconciled items.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and Intercompany counterparts to resolve disputes and balance discrepancies.

3. Process & Data Quality

• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and validity of Intercompany transactions and balances
• Maintain documentation in line with global standards
• Support data integrity during system changes, migrations, or transformations

4. Collaboration & Learning

• Work closely with Team Leads, SMEs, and global partners
• Participate in training, knowledge sharing, and capability-building activities

5. Continuous Improvement

• Identify process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
• Support automation, standardization, and optimization initiatives

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, shared services, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and regions.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
• Understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reconciliation processes.
• Exposure to shared services, finance operations, or accounting environments is preferred.
• Interest in process improvement, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to global processes, systems, and evolving business requirements.
