Seven Seven Global Services, Inc. is seeking an API integration engineer to prepare functional and test data, monitor testing activities, and help optimize API performance.

You will integrate 3rd party services via APIs, define integration strategies, and collaborate with architects to build secure, scalable APIs. 3+ years in API management and hands-on coding in JavaScript and Python are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in API management platforms or similar integration tools.
• 3+ years designing, developing and implementing RESTful or GraphQL APIs using JSON/XML.
• 3+ years programming and scripting with Unix, JavaScript and Python.

Responsibilities

• Prepare functional and test data and monitor and support testing activities including API performance and code optimization
• Integrate 3rd party services through APIs and standard integration methodology to deliver quality results on time with minimal supervision
• Resolve design and framework conversion to ensure integration meets technical requirements and organizational needs
• Define and drive integration strategies and methods with principal and lead architect aligned with defined deadlines
• Communicate and collaborate with relevant teams to understand requirements using defined architecture frameworks and guidelines
• Guide in API protocols and frameworks in building secure, maintainable, and scalable APIs
• Build and maintain API specification and documentation, and document integration processes and user guides
• Perform and verify integration points test based on work you're leading
• Carry out investigation and provide initial assessment and root cause analysis to help prevent future issues
• Build automated system performance monitoring and generate reports on recurring issues

About the role

This role involves preparing functional and test data, monitoring and supporting testing activities including API performance and code optimization. You will integrate 3rd party services through APIs and standard integration methodology, resolve design and framework conversion issues, and define integration strategies aligned with business processes and organizational needs. You will communicate and collaborate with relevant teams to understand requirements using defined architecture frameworks, guide in API protocols and frameworks for building secure and scalable APIs, and perform integration point testing. The role includes investigation and root cause analysis to prevent future issues, customer engagement through various channels, building automated system performance monitoring, and involvement in transition and knowledge transfer activities.

About you

• Proven ability to translate requirements into API specification and design using RAML or Open API standard
• Skilled in defining, implementing, and enforcing policies and best practices for API design and management
• Strong understanding of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle with practical exposure to Scrum methodologies
• Hands-on coding capability, conduct peer code reviews, manage development tasks, and oversee support, environment configuration and deployment operations
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in API management platform or similar integration tools
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing and implementing RESTful or GraphQL APIs using JSON or XML for systems integration
• 3+ years programming and scripting expertise with Unix, JavaScript and Python
• Solid grasp of organizational, software, and implementation blueprints and technical documents focusing on workflow processes and business process analysis
• Foundational knowledge of IT security principles and database systems
