Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking an Insurance Verification and Authorization (IV/Auth) Supervisor to oversee daily operations onsite in BGC, Taguig, supporting patient care and revenue cycle performance.

Lead the IV/Auth team, monitor SLAs/KPIs, drive improvements, ensure compliance with payer requirements, and collaborate with billing, A/R, and IT teams.

Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years US healthcare rev cycle experience required, with at least 1 year in supervision.

Qualifications

• US healthcare revenue cycle experience in insurance verification and authorization.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Strong understanding of CPT/ICD-10 codes and payer guidelines.
• Experience with payer portals and EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
• Excellent English communication skills (CEFR B2).

Responsibilities

• Supervise IV/Auth team including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
• Monitor workflows to meet SLAs and KPIs; adjust workloads to prevent backlogs.
• Implement process improvements to reduce denials, write-offs, and holds.
• Oversee audits and accuracy reviews for payer compliance.
• Address denials by partnering with billing and A/R to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with clients, healthcare professionals, and IT to support clean claim generation.
• Mentor team members and support succession planning.

Your Role

As an Insurance Verification and Authorization (IV/Auth) Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations and ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant insurance verification and authorization processes to support patient care and revenue cycle performance.

You Will

• Supervise and support the IV/Auth team, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management
• Monitor workflows to ensure SLAs and KPIs (productivity, accuracy, turnaround time) are met, adjusting workloads to prevent backlogs
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce denials, write-offs, and billing holds
• Oversee audits and accuracy reviews to ensure compliance with payer requirements and regulatory guidelines
• Address denials by partnering with the billing and A/R teams to identify root causes and solutions
• Collaborate with clients, healthcare professionals, and IT teams to support clean claim generation and system optimization
• Mentor team members, support succession planning, and provide education on payer policy updates

What You Need

• Experience: At least 4 years of US healthcare revenue cycle experience in insurance verification and authorization, with 1+ year in a supervisory role
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance verification, prior authorization, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and payer guidelines
• Systems: Experience with payer portals, eligibility and authorization tools (e.g., Availity), and EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills (minimum CEFR B2)

Preferred Skills

• Leadership: Experience managing hybrid or remote teams and handling multi-workstream performance improvement initiatives
• Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Industry Exposure: Experience working with US healthcare providers or payers
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and ability to handle sensitive patient data in compliance with HIPAA standards
