Job summary

MicroSourcing in the Philippines seeks an Insurance Verification and Authorization Auditor for onsite night shifts at the BGC, Taguig City. You will oversee daily IV/Auth operations to ensure accurate verification and compliance, supporting patient care and revenue cycle performance.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of US healthcare revenue cycle experience in verification/authorization, 1+ year in supervision, a relevant degree, and strong English (CEFR B2).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of US healthcare revenue cycle experience in insurance verification and authorization.
• 1+ year in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, HIM, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Proficiency with payer portals and eligibility/authorization tools (e.g., Availity).
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
• Excellent English communication skills (CEFR B2).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the IV/Auth team, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
• Monitor workflows to meet SLAs and KPIs (productivity, accuracy, turnaround time) and adjust workloads.
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce denials, write-offs, and billing holds.
• Oversee audits and accuracy reviews to ensure payer requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Address denials by partnering with billing and A/R teams to identify root causes and solutions.
• Collaborate with clients, healthcare professionals, and IT teams to support clean claim generation and system optimization.
• Mentor team members, support succession planning, and provide education on payer policy updates.

Your Role

As an Insurance Verification and Authorization (IV/Auth) Auditor, you will oversee daily operations and ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant insurance verification and authorization processes to support patient care and revenue cycle performance.

You Will

• Supervise and support the IV/Auth team, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management

What You Need

• Experience: At least 4 years of US healthcare revenue cycle experience in insurance verification and authorization, with 1+ year in a supervisory role
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance verification, prior authorization, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and payer guidelines
• Systems: Experience with payer portals, eligibility and authorization tools (e.g., Availity), and EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills (minimum CEFR B2)

Preferred Skills

• Leadership: Experience managing hybrid or remote teams and handling multi-workstream performance improvement initiatives
• Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Industry Exposure: Experience working with US healthcare providers or payers
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and ability to handle sensitive patient data in compliance with HIPAA standards
