Job summary

You will record transactions, manage AP/AR, and assist with month-end close, while maintaining organized documentation and ensuring accuracy. You will collaborate with accounting, finance, underwriting, claims, billing, and operations teams to ensure timely processing and compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1+ year of bookkeeping, accounting support, accounts payable/receivable, or related experience.
• Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Basic understanding of insurance-related transactions including premiums, commissions, claims, and policy payments.
• Strong attention to detail with accuracy and organization.
• Proficiency with Excel and data analysis.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain financial transactions in the general ledger and accounting systems.
• Process accounts payable invoices, payments, expenses, and vendor transactions.
• Process accounts receivable transactions, customer payments, deposits, and balances.
• Prepare journal entries including accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, and adjustments.
• Maintain documentation for transactions, approvals, invoices, and supporting schedules.
• Review transactions for accuracy, coding, approvals, and policy compliance.
