Job summary

Asiacruit is seeking an Accounting Assistant in Makati to support accounting, financial reporting, and administrative tasks within the insurance and accounting industries. The role covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, invoice processing, and month-end close activities.

The candidate should have a solid accounting foundation, keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential financial information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or related field.
• 1+ year of accounting/bookkeeping experience including AP/AR.
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and common accounting software.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and general ledger activity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records in line with policies and GAAP principles.
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, deposits, journal entries and adjustments.
• Review documentation for accuracy, approvals, and proper coding.
• Maintain general ledger and subsidiary accounting records; prepare schedules and aging reports.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable tasks including invoicing, payments, collections, and reconciliations.
