Job summary

Our Clients in Makati, Philippines seeks a competent Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. You will handle bookkeeping, GL activities, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, tax compliance, payroll support, and month-end closing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field is required.
• 3-4+ years of relevant general accounting, bookkeeping, or similar experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience in general accounting, bank reconciliation, AP/AR, and month-end closing.
• Working knowledge of Philippine tax compliance and BIR filing requirements.
• Experience with payroll processing and statutory contributions is a plus.
• Strong accounting principles and meticulous documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries.
• Record and process day-to-day financial transactions including receipts and disbursements.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage AP/AR transactions and vendor payments.
• Reconcile bank accounts and cash-related records.
• Support tax compliance and VAT/withholding tax filings.
• Assist payroll processing and statutory contributions.
• Prepare financial reports and assist audits.
