Job summary

Asiacruit is seeking an Accountant to support financial operations within the insurance and accounting industry in the Philippines. This role maintains accurate records, processes transactions, and supports month-end and year-end closes, collaborating with finance and operations to ensure compliant reporting.

The ideal candidate has solid accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and knowledge of insurance-related transactions, with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience in insurance/financial services or related industry.
• Solid general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and financial reporting knowledge.
• Understanding of insurance accounting concepts (premiums, claims, reserves, reinsurance).
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivots, lookups) and attention to detail.
• Experience with ERP/financial systems and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain general ledger transactions in accordance with policies.
• Prepare journal entries, analyses, trial balances, and schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including accruals and reclassifications.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and reporting packages.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial information.
