The role involves planning, testing, documentation, and preparing audit workpapers, with close collaboration among audit, accounting, finance, insurance, claims, underwriting, billing, and operations teams to ensure timely, compliant engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ year of auditing, accounting, or financial reporting experience.
• Knowledge of double-entry accounting and financial statements.
• Experience with insurance accounting transactions is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with audit planning and fieldwork across financial and internal control procedures.
• Review general ledger activity and financial statements.
• Perform audit testing on cash, AR, AP, premiums, commissions, claims and reserves.
• Prepare audit workpapers and summaries of findings.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve audit questions.
• Maintain audit documentation and evidence for policyholders and vendors.
