JGC Philippines, Inc. is seeking an Instrument Construction Design Engineer to lead 2D AutoCAD drafting and 3D Smart 3D modeling for instrumentation installations.

You will independently develop and review installation designs, cable layouts, and supports, with emphasis on accuracy and standards adherence. Requires a Bachelor of Engineering and at least 10 years of hands-on experience in instrument construction design, strong AutoCAD/S3D skills, and solid communication abilities to coordinate

Qualifications

• Bachelor engineer with 10+ years in instrument construction design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review instrument installation design deliverables.
• Develop hook-up drawings, loop diagrams, cable schedules, and routing layouts.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Electrical, Civil & Building, and Construction disciplines.
• Prepare material take-offs and material requisitions.
• Review vendor documents and technical submissions.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, client specifications, and applicable international standards.

Job Summary

The Instrument Construction Design Engineer shall possess strong expertise in both 2D drafting and design using AutoCAD and 3D design/modeling using Smart 3D (S3D).

The role requires the ability to independently develop, review, and modify instrumentation installation designs, cable routing layouts, instrument layouts and supports, junction box layouts, and other construction deliverables directly within 2D and 3D engineering environments. The role includes material take-offs and vendor document review.

Qualifications:

• Must be a computer literate in MS Office.
