Job summary

A leading home improvement retailer in Cebu City is seeking a Drafting Specialist to prepare and revise technical drawings and collaborate on installation specifications. Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings.
• Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with the Graphic Artist to ensure consistent documentation of the project.
• Review blueprints, plans, specifications and other customer documentation if service is requested.
• Revise and update drawings to ensure consistent documentation of the project.
• Works with Vice President for Marketing on guidelines for installation drawings which meet and exceed the customer’s requirements (bid and submittal phase). Implement these requirements on drawings sent to the customer
• Serve as an information source on planning and design of equipment installations: equipment and plant engineering.
• Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (like drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and /performance guarantees) for future reference.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third party items and services data base.
• Review and modify information with supervision by the Vice President for Marketing.
• Make data available to application engineers and project managers.
• Establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings.
• Conduct on site visits for actual measurements and meetings with owners, contractors, architects and among others.
• Performs other duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed

Specifications

• College graduate or similar degree in drafting or CAD
• With proficient knowledge and at least 2 (two) years’ experience in advanced Auto
• CAD, Microsoft Office, Windows and Microstation application.
• With capability to decipher construction plans.
• With ability to visualize finished products as well as drawings.
• Have manual drawing skills along with computer drawing.
• Should be familiar with Auto desk auto CAD, PTC Pro-engineer and PTC intralink
• With knowledge of architectural terms
• Demonstrate personal attributes to confidentiality, standard of conduct, respect, flexibility, sensitivity and other related work ethic
• Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time.
