Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school, working with KS3–4 learners with SEND to support them academically and personally as they prepare for adulthood.

The role focuses on delivering engaging, personalised lessons, planning differentiated activities, and collaborating with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, and the wider team to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching learners with SEND in school or specialist provision.
• Patient, compassionate and flexible approach.
• Confident adapting lessons for a wide range of abilities and learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support learners with SEND including ASC, ADHD, MLD/SLD and SEMH.
• Create a nurturing, inclusive environment to motivate learners.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents/carers and the wider team.
• Monitor progress and adapt strategies to ensure learner success.
• Promote independence and life skills alongside academics.
• Contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans.
