Job summary

Specialist Send Group is seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a welcoming school in Wigan. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons, support learners with SEND including ASC/ADHD/MLD/SLD, and contribute to EHCP reviews while safeguarding learners.

With QTS and experience in SEND, you will collaborate with TAs, therapists, and families to create an inclusive environment that promotes independence and personal growth. Salary is DOE, in-person role.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching learners with SEND (school, specialist provision, or alternative provision).
• Has a patient, compassionate, and flexible approach.
• Is confident adapting lessons to meet a wide range of abilities and learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support learners with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, MLD/SLD, communication needs, and SEMH.
• Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where learners feel safe, valued, and motivated.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents/carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor learner progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure every learner can succeed.
• Promote independence, confidence, communication, and life skills alongside academic achievement.
• Contribute to EHC plan reviews, assessments, and personalised learning plans.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and wellbeing for all learners.

Specialist Send Group is looking for an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school. This is an exciting opportunity to work with learners aged KS3-4 with a range of additional needs, supporting them both academically and personally as they prepare for adulthood.

This role would suit a teacher who is committed to delivering engaging, personalised learning and believes every young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

The Role

• Support learners with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), communication needs, and SEMH.
• Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where learners feel safe, valued, and motivated.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents/carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor learner progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure every learner can succeed.

• Has excellent behaviour management and classroom management skills.
• Is committed to helping every learner achieve their potential.
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
