Job summary

Bureau Veritas | Marine & Offshore in Makati, Manila, PH is seeking an Inspector – Coating & Painting to perform inspection of coating, painting, insulation and corrosion protection activities on pipeline projects, monitor surface prep, coating application and insulation installation, and verify 3LPE systems.

Requirements include Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, 12 years (Diploma) or 10 years (Bachelor) of industrial QA/QC experience in coating, painting and insulation

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12 years of industrial QA/QC experience (Diploma holders) or 10 years (Bachelor holders) in coating, painting and insulation.
• BGAS Grade 2 or NACE Level 2 Coating Inspector certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of coating, painting, insulation and corrosion protection activities.
• Monitor surface preparation, blasting, coating application and insulation installation works.
• Conduct coating inspections including DFT, WFT, adhesion testing, holiday testing, and environmental checks.
• Inspect and verify 3LPE coating systems for pipeline projects.
• Review inspection reports, material certificates and QA/QC documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of coating, painting, insulation, and corrosion protection activities.
• Monitor surface preparation, blasting, coating application, and insulation installation works.

• Inspect and verify 3LPE (Three-Layer Polyethylene) coating systems for pipeline projects.
• Review inspection reports, material certificates, and QA/QC documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and international standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Diploma Holders: Minimum 12 years of industrial QA/QC experience in 3LPE Coating Systems, Coating, Painting, and Insulation.
• Bachelor's Degree Holders: Minimum 10 years of industrial QA/QC experience in Coating, Painting, and Insulation within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Valid BGAS Grade 2 or NACE Level 2 Coating Inspector Certification.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coating application, corrosion protection, insulation systems, and pipeline coating inspections.
• Experience with Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, or pipeline projects is preferred.
• Must possess a valid passport and be willing to travel for international project assignments.
