Job summary

Bureau Veritas | Marine & Offshore in Manila is seeking an Inspector – Coating & Painting to perform coating inspections, monitor surface preparation, blasting, coating application and insulation works on pipeline projects. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 10–12+ years QA/QC experience in coating and insulation, and BGAS Level 2 or NACE Level 2 certification.

A valid passport and willingness to travel internationally are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of coating, painting, insulation, and corrosion protection activities.

• Conduct coating inspections including DFT, WFT, adhesion testing, holiday testing, and environmental checks.
• Inspect and verify 3LPE coating systems for pipeline projects.
• Review inspection reports, material certificates, and QA/QC documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and international standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Diploma Holders: Minimum 12 years of industrial QA/QC experience in 3LPE Coating Systems, Coating, Painting, and Insulation.
• Bachelor's Degree Holders: Minimum 10 years of industrial QA/QC experience in Coating, Painting, and Insulation within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Valid BGAS Grade 2 or NACE Level 2 Coating Inspector Certification.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coating application, corrosion protection, insulation systems, and pipeline coating inspections.
• Experience with Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, or pipeline projects is preferred.
• Must possess a valid passport and be willing to travel for international project assignments.
