Job summary

Coherent Corp. in the Philippines is seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections of silicon optics products to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.

You will operate precision measuring instruments, verify dimensions against drawings, and maintain thorough quality records while supporting ramp-up production and strict adherence to 5S and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical graduate with knowledge in inspection.
• Experience with precision measurement is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing QA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of silicon optics products based on specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect products for defects, scratches, chips, contamination, dimensional abnormalities, and other quality issues.
• Use precision measuring tools such as Digimatic calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Verify product dimensions and appearance according to drawings, work instructions, and inspection standards.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain required quality documentation.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products to the supervisor or QA personnel.
• Perform inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished products as assigned.
• Follow established quality, safety, and 5S procedures.
• Support production during ramp-up activities and increased volume requirements.
• Perform other inspection-related tasks as assigned.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of silicon optics products based on specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect products for defects, scratches, chips, contamination, dimensional abnormalities, and other quality issues.
• Use precision measuring tools such as Digimatic calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Verify product dimensions and appearance according to drawings, work instructions, and inspection standards.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain required quality documentation.

Education & Experience

• Vocational/Technical graduate, preferably with technical knowledge in Manufacturing, Inspection, or related fields.
• Knowledge of precision measurement and dimensional inspection.
• With experience in manufacturing, quality inspection is preferred.
• Experience using Digimatic calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments is an advantage.

• Strict compliance with quality, safety, and workplace procedures is required.
