Job summary

Coherent Corp. in the Philippines is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, and ensure results are accurately recorded in designated forms and the ME System.

The role requires technical education in engineering or metrology, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This 100% onsite position emphasizes precision, reliability, and clear communication in English and Tagalog, supporting our global laser and materials

Qualifications

• Preferably graduate of 2-3 years technical vocational courses related to Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Metrology.
• Alternative: graduate of the K12 Program with equivalent experience/knowledge.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs visual inspections in accordance with established standard acceptance criteria and customer specifications.
• Conducts quality inspections and dimensional checks based on customer requirements using various measuring tools and instruments.
• Ensures that inspection results and data for all inspected products are complete, accurate, and properly recorded in the designated Quality Inspection Report forms.
• Ensures that all inspection transactions are properly, completely, and accurately recorded in the ME System.
• Performs primary quality packaging using standard packaging materials specified for each part number or according to customer requirements.

Education & Experience

• Preferably graduate of 2-3 years technical vocational courses related to Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Metrology or at least graduate of the K12 Program with equivalent experience/knowledge.

Skills

• Must have knowledge and experience in quality inspection and quality assurance in a manufacturing industry
• Ability to work under pressure in an extremely fast paced environment
• Can interpret or fully understand product specifications and inspection protocols
• Have knowledge and experience in precision measurements and measuring instruments
• Results oriented with good quality output.
• Computer/software skills: able to encode correct and accurate data on computer
• Can communicate in English and Tagalog languages, both verbally and in writing
• Can adapt & adjust quickly to changes especially in work related problems
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
