Coronis Health is seeking an Inpatient Coder to translate patient medical records into accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for hospital stays. You will collaborate with clinicians to obtain complete documentation and ensure regulatory compliance, while supporting auditing and quality assurance processes.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong medical terminology knowledge, and a minimum of 3 years inpatient coding experience.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail for accurate coding and billing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology required.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems; familiarity with coding software preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex medical records to assign correct codes.
• Excellent communication with healthcare professionals to obtain documentation as needed.
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding experience.

Responsabilités

• Reviewing patient medical records to extract diagnoses and procedures.
• Assigning codes using ICD-10-CM for diagnoses and CPT/HCPCS for procedures.
• Ensure coding practices comply with CMS, The Joint Commission, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to clarify documentation.
• Assist in auditing and quality control to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Stay updated on coding guidelines and healthcare regulations.
