Job summary

Coronis Health is seeking an experienced Inpatient Medical Coder to join our remote team. You will review inpatient records and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes in line with payer guidelines and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with clinical and billing colleagues, resolve coding questions, participate in quality audits, and stay current with coding updates. This is a full-time, work-from-home role with emphasis on productivity and data security.

Qualifications

• Inpatient medical coding experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Foundational knowledge of Health Information Management and Medical Terminology.
• RHIT or CCS/CPC credentials preferred.
• Experience with hospital information systems and coding software.
• Strong attention to detail and data security (HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Abstract clinical information from records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes.
• Validate documentation and ensure codes reflect diagnoses and procedures.
• Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve coding questions and support audits.
• Participate in ongoing quality audits and stay current with coding updates.
