Job summary

Coronis Health Philippines is recruiting an Inpatient Medical Coder to work from home. The role focuses on reviewing inpatient records, assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRGs, and ensuring accurate, compliant coding to optimize reimbursement.

A strong knowledge of coding guidelines and payer requirements is essential. Preferred certifications include CCS, RHIT or CPC, with excellent attention to detail and communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in inpatient medical coding is required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS and DRG assignment.
• CCS, RHIT or CPC certification preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze inpatient medical records and documentation.
• Assign accurate diagnoses and procedures per guidelines and payor rules.
• Ensure coding accuracy, compliance and optimal reimbursement.
• Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve inquiries.
• Support denial prevention through coding review and validation.
• Meet productivity and quality standards.

Inpatient Medical Coder:

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze inpatient medical records and clinical documentation.
• Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with coding guidelines and payer requirements.
• Ensure coding accuracy, compliance, and optimal reimbursement.
• Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve coding-related inquiries.
• Support denial prevention and resolution through coding review and validation.
• Meet established productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Inpatient Medical Coding
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG assignment
• CCS, RHIT, CPC, or equivalent certification preferred
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation
