Tenet Global Business Center, Inc. is seeking an IP Coder to assign diagnostic and procedural codes to inpatient charts using ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS, in line with AHIMA standards. The role requires accuracy in abstracting clinical information from records and collaboration with medical staff.

You will work in a morning shift with permanent WFH setup and support the facility''s coding operations. Experience in inpatient coding and familiarity with EMR/encoder software will help ensure compliant

• Proficient in inpatient diagnosis coding guidelines.
• Proficient in CPT/HCPCS code assignment including E/M facility coding guidelines.
• Able to compare documentation, code assignment and charges for accuracy and escalate issues.
• Knowledge of facility EMR, encoder and related software.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to concentrate and accomplish tasks with explicit accuracy.
• Proficient with office equipment and applications.

Job Description:

The IP Coder is responsible for assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to inpatient charts, of moderate to high complexity, using ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS or any other designated coding classification system in accordance with coding rules and regulations. They abide by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by AHIMA. Abstracting required clinical information from the medical record.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Proficient in CPT/HCPCS code assignment including Evaluation & Management facility coding guidelines
