Job summary

ACCPRO International is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder to join its team in the Philippines. You will accurately assign ICD-10 and ICD-10-PCS codes, ensure CMS compliance, and drive accounts through the billing system.

Requirements include 3 years hospital experience, certification (CCS/RHIT/RHIA), and hands-on work with MS-DRG/APR-DRG using Epic and 3M Solventum; on-site work in Clark, Pampanga or Subic, Zambales.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hospital experience
• Experience with Epic and Solventum (3M) systems
• CCS/RHIT/RHIA certification required (CIC may be considered)
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related Allied Medical field
• Strong knowledge of Coding Clinics and ICD guidelines
• Experience with MS-DRG, APR-DRG, PCS, PDX, CC/MCC sections
• Willingness to take online or onsite assessment

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign ICD-10 diagnoses and ICD-10-PCS codes
• Abstract required data per facility specifications
• Monitor and drive inpatient accounts through billing system to ensure timely, compliant processing
• Maintain accuracy and meet quality, productivity, and KPI standards (3M 360 or eCAC)
• Stay updated on CMS requirements, CCI edits, HACs, NCDs/LCDs, and apply appropriate modifiers

Job Summary

As an Inpatient Medical Coder you will join a dynamic team of coding experts dedicated to delivering exceptional coding services to our valued clients. Your primary responsibility will be accurately assigning medical codes, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.

• Reviews medical record documentation and accurately assigns appropriate ICD-10 diagnoses and ICD 10 PCS procedure codes, leading to the assignment of the correct Medicare Severity - Diagnosis Related Group, (MS-DRG) or All Patient Refined Diagnosis Related Group, (APR-DRG)
• Correctly abstract required data per facility specifications
• Responsible for monitoring and working of accounts that are Discharged Not Final Billed, failed claims, stop bills, and as a team, ensure timely, compliant processing of inpatient accounts through the billing system
• Responsible to ensure accuracy and maintain established quality, productivity standards, and key performance indicators established for 3M 360 or for eCAC
• Remain abreast of current Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, (CMS) requirements as well as Correct Coding Initiative, (CCI) edits, Hospital Acquired Conditions, (HAC's) and when applicable, National Coverage Determinations, (NCDs) and Local Coverage Determinations, (LCDs,) including the addition of appropriate modifiers to ensure a clean claim the first time through.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent academic hospital experience.
• Systems: 3+ years of recent Epic and Solventum (3M) experience.
• Certification: CCS, RHIT, or RHIA is required (CIC may be considered if all other experience requirements are met).
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field of Allied Medical courses
• Strong domain knowledge in Coding Clinics.
• Good exposure in ICD Guidelines and new born charts
• Hands-on exposure to MS-DRG, APR-DRG, PCS, PDX sections, and CC/MCC sections.
• Should have experience with a 3M or medical coding tool and be willing to take an online or onsite assessment
• Candidates must be able to work in-office Clark, Pampanga or Subic, Zambales Philippines
