Job summary

MicroSourcing invites a Medical Coding Auditor – Inpatient DRG to join onsite at BGC, Taguig City. You will conduct quality reviews of inpatient coders and provide coaching to support continuous quality improvement.

The role requires at least 2 years in inpatient DRG auditing, a relevant allied health degree, and CCS/CIC/CDIP certification. Proficiency with MS-DRG, POA/SOI/ROM, and EMR systems (Epic/Cerner/Meditech) is essential, along with excellent English communication.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of progressive inpatient DRG coding auditing experience.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, or allied field.
Active CCS, CIC, or CDIP certification.
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic and procedural coding, and MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment.
Proven proficiency in identifying POA, SOI, ROM, HACs, and PSIs.
Hands-on experience using EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (CEFR B2 level).

Responsibilities

Audit inpatient coders and perform specialized "audit the auditor" quality reviews to maintain a minimum coding accuracy rate of 95%.
Perform comprehensive quality checks, SOP-based audits, and calibration audits.
Prepare detailed coding audit reports and provide actionable feedback to coders and auditors.
Monitor compliance with coding guidelines, correct identified errors, and initiate corrective actions before claims submission.
Analyze audit data and present concise summaries of findings to leadership.
