Job summary

Arvin International Marketing Inc. is seeking an Importation Associate to support the company’s import activities, ensuring timely arrival and delivery of salt, rice products, chemicals, and other items.

You will handle documentation, shipment monitoring, customs clearance, duties and taxes, and coordinate with brokers, banks, and logistics teams. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field and at least 2 years of importation or logistics

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant importation, logistics, or supply chain experience.
• Experience with import brokers, freight forwarders, or suppliers is an advantage.

Job Summary

The Importation Associate assists in managing the company’s importation activities, including documentation, shipment monitoring, customs clearance, duties and taxes, insurance, and coordination with suppliers, brokers, banks, and Logistics for the timely arrival and delivery of imported salt, rice products, chemicals, and other products.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to emails related to import orders and shipments.

• Prepare, review, and file importation and shipping documents.

• Coordinate with suppliers, import brokers, shipping lines, banks, and insurance providers.

• Monitor incoming shipments, vessel arrivals, customs clearance, and cargo release.

• Review duties, taxes, FX rates, and other import-related charges for Management approval and payment processing.

• Coordinate with Logistics for cargo collection and direct deliveries.

• Process insurance applications for incoming shipments.

• Request and coordinate required product documents such as COA, Halal Certificates, Certificates of Origin, and other certifications.

• Maintain accurate records of import transactions and ensure document completeness and compliance with applicable requirements.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or any related course.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in importation, logistics, or supply chain.

• Experience with import brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, or suppliers is an advantage.

• Experience in salt, rice products, chemicals, food ingredients, or other imported commodities is a plus.

• Good knowledge of importation documentation, customs procedures, and duties and taxes.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Willing to work in Pasay City.
