Job summary

Balik Kaanyag in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, seeks a dedicated Child Safeguarding/Protection Coordinator to lead our child protection work in the community. This full-time role develops a protection strategy, designs programs, drafts policy, and trains partners across institutions to promote safe environments for children.

You will work with LCPCs, BCPCs, schools, churches, and local organizations, building a network of child protection advocates and raising awareness of safeguarding principles,

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with vulnerable children.
• Knowledge of child protection laws and policy applicable to the Philippines.
• Trauma-informed practice understanding and application.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professional boundaries.
• Organisational and documentation skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop child protection strategy for Balik Kaanyag Malaybalay.
• Design and implement child protection programs and trainings.
• Draft and implement child protection policies.
• Train and support child protection contacts across institutions.
• Coordinate with partners (LCPCs, BCPCs, RHW, SK, schools, churches).
• Raise awareness and advocate for safeguarding principles.
