Balik Kaanyag is a Christian Filipino non for profit association with a mission to care for, heal and empower children from hard places, especially survivors of sexual abuse. We are not a shelter. In our three centers in Villanueva, CdO and Malaybalay, our care teams conduct psychosocial and trauma healing for survivors of abuse, provide training on trauma informed care/ TBRI and conduct abuse prevention/ child protection programs in collaboration with LGUs, schools, Barangays, communities, churches and other organizations.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Safeguarding/Protection Coordinator to join Balik Kaanyag in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in our mission to protect and support vulnerable children and families in our community. As the Child Safeguarding/Protection Coordinator, you will develop a child protection strategy for Balik Kaanyag Malaybalay (Bukidnon), design and implement child protection programs such as support to child protection policy drafting and implementation, training of child protection contact points in various institutions, conduct online safety and safe/unsafe touch trainings and training of trainers, and use online means and presence to raise awareness, knowledge, skills on child protection matters.
You will be in close communication with multiple partners such as LCPCs, BCPCs, RHW, SK, schools, churches, ECDC and others, and create a child protection advocate network across partners and communities.
