Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an IBMi Engineer to be the technical expert for IBM i environments, ensuring security, stability and performance while enabling platform modernization with cloud and APIs.

You will administer IBM i partitions, manage backups and DR, design high-availability solutions, and drive automation and integration with enterprise systems. Strong IBM i and BRMS experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on IBMi administration.
Experience with IBMi OS/400, i5/OS and version 7.3 or higher.
Strong knowledge of BRMS, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
Understanding of TCP/IP and secure connectivity for IBMi.

Responsibilities

Administer and support multiple IBM i partitions across Power Systems environments.
Manage backup and recovery processes using BRMS, VTL, and DR solutions.
Perform IBM i OS upgrades, PTF maintenance, and lifecycle management.
Design high-availability solutions to meet RTO/RPO targets.
Develop automation and integration with cloud, APIs, and data platforms.
Lead incident and change management and contribute to on-call rotations.
